Anyway, I think I'm going to post a few of my favorite pictures on this thing too. All of my art is at my deviant art site, but these are my favorites
Total drawing time was around 10-13 minutes. The shading is just pencil smears.
And if you're an art nerd, I used Staedtler 4B and a manual sharpener.
This was from a live model session. Again, I shaded by smearing some of the graphite on my fingers and then rubbing in the areas. The trick is to use a soft lead, touch the darkest part of your shaded area, and smear out. Now, I've been told by professors time and time again that smearing isn't professional. But, I love the effect it makes. It looks so much better than if I was just to do this with hatching or some other graphite technique.Neato!
Total Drawing Time - around 15 -20 minutes.
I used Staedtler 4B, 2B, and some of a 6B. Manual Sharpener and Staedtler Eraser.
Girl Feet! No they're not mine! I spent a little more time on this one. Actually close to 30 minutes. It wasn't for a class, I just wanted to draw something. That was a long time ago! Anyway, the contours, that's an art word for lines are great and the shading makes it all look real. This time I think I used Staedtler 4B only.I really like this one, probably one of my personal favorites.
Anyway that's it for this one. Part 2 will have 3 more drawings. That's how I go. 3 per blog. Three is a good number for images!
Enjoy!!
